During the California Democratic Party’s online convention Sunday, Christine Pelosi, the daughter of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and a convention delegate, pushed to remove what she described as “partisan” language from a resolution opposing the recall of Gov. Gavin Newsom.

The resolution was introduced by another delegate who took exception to the fact that Newsom, his aides, and the California Democratic Party have worked to tie the recall to the Republican Party, branding it the “Republican recall” and a “partisan power grab.” The delegate sought to remove mentions to Republicans in a formal resolution denouncing the recall.
