San Francisco, Denver, and Boston were the most gentrified cities in the country during a five-year period, according to a recent national report.
The findings released this month by the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, a nonprofit that works to end housing, lending and business discrimination, show that of 131 census tracts eligible for gentrification in San Francisco, more than 31% were gentrifiying between 2013 and 2017. Denver, Boston, Miami and New Orleans all had more than 20% of eligible tracts gentrifying during that same time period as well.
