San Francisco Chronicle-
In a first in the country, three transportation security officers who work at Mineta San Jose International Airport have tested positive for the coronavirus disease, COVID-19.
One of the employees has been sick for 13 days, said James Mudrock, president of the American Federal of Government Employees Local 1230 that represents Transportation Security Agency employees in Northern California.
TSA said the officers are receiving medical care and all employees they have come in contact with over the past 14 days are quarantined at home. Mudrock said he was told 42 employees, but not the entire San Jose airport workforce, are on paid administrative leave. The staffing gaps are being filled by overtime.
