The city of San Bernardino has launched an investigation into Mayor John Valdivia after two employees resigned to end what they describe as a barrage of sexually charged comments, off-color jokes and threats to their jobs.
Former senior customer service representative Mirna Cisneros, 30, and Karen Cervantes, 24, Valdivia’s former assistant, submitted their resignation letters on Jan. 29 to Valdivia’s chief of staff, Matt Brown, alleging a pattern of harassing behavior by Valdivia that promoted a hostile work environment.
