Los Angeles Daily News-
Inglewood Police Chief Mark Fronterotta collected an extra $61,000 last year that was not authorized by the city’s charter, the City Council or his employment agreement, according to an investigation by the Southern California News Group.
The extra compensation appears to violate the city’s charter and could constitute a gift of public funds. Inglewood’s charter requires the City Council to set “the salaries and compensation” of its officers, including the police chief, by ordinance.
