High School Ethnic Studies Bill Passes California Senate Education Committee

A bill by Assemblyman Jose Medina, D-Riverside, that would make ethnic studies a graduation requirement passed the Senate Education Committee with a 5-0 vote Wednesday, June 27.

“Requiring ethnic studies helps ensure that all students learn about the diverse histories of the people that make up America,” Medina, said in a news release.
