Sacramento Mayor Wants To Make Sales Tax Increase Permanent

Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg wants to make the city’s Measure U, a temporary sales tax increase, permanent.

Steinberg said he also wants to raise the tax from a half cent to a full penny.

Voters approved the tax in 2012, and it’s set to expire next year.
